Somerset Fire Department runs approximately 400 calls a year. Calls range from trees down to structure fires. We provide fire protection for the citizen of Somerset Borough and a portion of Somerset Township, we also cover a portion of the Pennsylvania Turnpike along with portions of Route 219. 

In January of 2025, our department merged with the Friedens Volunteer Fire Company to form the Somerset Regional Volunteer Fire Department.
